My second mom stopped by

I posted on FB last night about starting to feel better after a rough day and a half. I was up for several hours in the middle of the night last night but I suppose that was to be expected after all of those hours in bed. Anyway the doorbell rang a little while ago and I was so confused. I hadn't ordered anything and only strangers ring the bell. I opened the door and it was my second mom (the female half of my parents' best friends). She was dropping off food and ginger ale for me because she was worried. I swear she takes better care of me than my own mother. In any case it was very nice of her to think about me.

It's so kind when people do that. We took soup to an elderly couple as the wife had been quite ill. You'd thought we had given them the moon! They were so grateful it was a bit embarrassing.
