Happy Monday Everyone! sunny and warm with possible thunderstorms this afternoon.
I'm getting a late start today. I slept in, had my coffee and breakfast and took the dog out for a quick walk.
My daughter was away for a girls weekend and she just texted me that she will be home in about an hour.
Decided on grilled chicken for dinner so I'm going to put the chicken on the barbecue grill and get it done in case the weather doesn't cooperate later on. Doesn't matter if the chicken is already cooked since we'll be putting on top of salad. We seem to be eating more salads for dinner lately since it's just easy and neither of us feels like a big hot meal when the weather is so warm.
The pup and I enjoyed our girls weekend and watched a really good movie on Netflix called the Nonnas and also started the series The Residence which is also binge-worthy.
I also got some crocheting done and am almost finished my book.
Can't believe that its the last day of June and we're heading into another new month.

@Marilynda1225 I have a couple here, just need to see what I am in the mood for!
I am now inside for the day. Just did what I had to to outside for the animals. We still have a feeding to go, but will wait until the sun goes down a bit more for that.

We have been eating more salads lately also.
Tonight while you are having grilled chicken on your salads, we will be having black forest ham beside our salads.
My husband mentioned that he would like his ham on the nice little whole wheat rolls that I picked up at the grocery store. They are delicious, but too filing for me for today.
It looks like it could rain here this afternoon, it is very overcast.
I hope that it does, tomorrow is Canada Day, and rain will surely put a damper on many outdoor activities, parades and celebrations.

@Juliaacv we get those tornado warnings occasionally and it's something new in the past few years. Just the idea of a tornado hitting scares me. Hope your weather clears up and no more threats of storms or tornadoes.

The Nonnas hits close to home for me as I grew up on Staten Island and am very familiar with the way those grandmas cooked. I never did get a chance to eat at that restaurant though.
I'm always in the mood for a good movie so I'll keep October Skies in mind.

Sounds like a good time.
We have had 3 connection rainy days.
Intense showers on Saturday and today.
Good rains are fine but Waterlogging at some places can cause traffic challenges.

Glad you had cooler temperatures. It's still hot here and a thunderstorm in the middle of the night woke me up. Thankfully it didn't knock out the power. Just the thought of no a/c is scary

And the days are getting shorter already. Sigh. The only thing I'm watching is the Game Show Network. I like the trivia shows. I like to see how much I know; and it helps keep my mind sharp.
