What Will I write about?

It's a common question that we all probably have to answer at least once a day: What’s going to get a conversation going? What’s going to go over well—and what isn’t? I don’t think there’s a single “right” answer. But something I’ve noticed, and have talked to several people about, is that food is always a solid topic. Anywhere, anytime—people love talking about food. I usually write at least one post a day about what I’ve made or what we’re having for dinner. Even if I don’t post anything else, that one always goes up. I know people will respond to it. I also write a few times a week about what we’re watching on TV. I used to post about shows a lot more—especially when Arthur Chappell was still around. We used to talk about Doctor Who all the time and would both post about it regularly. Other than food and TV, my posts are kind of a mixed bag. Sometimes I talk about how people never cease to amaze me. Sometimes I dive into the latest bit of local drama. And right now? Well, I’m writing something about writing. Some posts are long, some are short. Some are silly, and some—though rarely—get a little serious. I’ve had people tell me my posts don’t interest them, then call me rude when I tell them they don’t have to read them. I don’t expect everyone to care about what I write, or even to read every post. Now that I think about it, I’ve totally rambled here and never really chose a topic. But I guess choosing a topic became the topic. So now that you’ve read this—what will you write about?

You always give me something to respond to. I’ve stared at some poster’s discussions, and stared…when you like someone you want to add to their bank, but I’m at a loss on occasion. I used to be able to think of discussions easily, but not anymore!

I look for interesting things when I'm out and about, and take photos of potential subjects if I can. Sometimes there are news articles that are worth commenting on too.

I am trying to write more everyday. I do have a lot of ideas and just have trouble forming my sentences. I need to get better at that. I have a few things I want to write about... I am just not completely sure what the topics are. I know that doesn't make a lot of sense, but that's how my brain is.

Just write, and itll make sense or it wont. When I was in elementary we met a world renowed author and he told us to just write, and keep writing.
