Kohberger May Take Guilty Plea Deal

I can't believe it. After all the stuff going on with this quadruple murder case Kohberger is now supposedly going to take a guilty plea to avoided the death penalty. The families of the murdered four Idaho colleges students have been through a horrible time of nearly 2 and 1/2 years of waiting. His defense team fought to get him a new venue feeling that the home area may have meant an unfair trial. They have also been fighting to get a stay on the upcoming court date arguing that they need more time. News has been sharing new info they weren't supposed to. And, even a Uber driver has come forward saying she saw him leaving the murder scene. Now, after all of this he decides to cop a plea. How weird. I guess we will see how this new development goes.

Yes, I think some rather die than live out their lives in prison.

Honestly, the trial was supposed to be on Court TV, and that would have been engaging but the big thing is he will be off the streets for the rest of his life. He doesn't need to be living among us.

I read on a Boise TV website that one of the victims’ families was upset that he took the plea deal. I can understand that, but he’s agreed to no parole and no appeals. He’s going to die in prison. With the infamy of the crime, maybe sooner than later.

The victims of the persons that Kohberger killed feel that they were robbed of justice that Kohberger will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

@NJChicaa yes, he is. It's just a let down after all the work his defense did on his behalf and the worry the families had about getting back and forth to be at court.

@celticeagle I just read an article about it. He is giving up his right to appeals which I think is good for the families. They won't have to keep going through hell having to worry that a conviction could be overturned.

He won't and by going for the plea he can't appeal either.
