Happy Place.

Everyone needs a happy place, or in my case, a few. When I was younger and still single, nothing made me feel more alive than being outdoors. Up in the mountains or by the beach. The fresh air, the wide open spaces, the feeling of freedom… those were the days when I could just pack a bag and go.
But life changes. Now as a parent, my happy places have shifted. These days, it’s the simple joy of walking through IKEA, dreaming up home ideas, or the calming rhythm of doing a grocery run all alone. Even if I don’t buy much, just being able to browse in peace feels like a mini vacation.
What's your happy place?

It used to be at the lake or river, swimming... Now, I prefer to be inside with a good book.

I can relate to your happy place as a parent because when my kids were growing up the simple things like walking through a store alone was heaven.
Now my kids are grown and life is basically quiet (I'm retired). Sometimes I really miss those hectic crazy days.
