What Advice Would You Give Your 18-Year-Old Self? / myLot

If you could go back and talk to your 18-year-old self, what would you say? I think I’d say: “Stop worrying so much about what people think. Take more chances — it’s okay to fail.” It’s wild how much you learn with time. So now I’m wondering… What advice would you give your younger self if you had the chance?

I would tell my 18 year old self, "You're much too young to get married!" But that was 59 years ago, so it worked out, lol.

It’s okay not to follow the path everyone else expects. Make your own, be your own. You do not need to rush things, you will get there

I would have used different terminology. "Don't give a damn." It would have saved me a LOT of trouble in life. It wasn't something I learned until later in life, and once I stopped giving a damn...life got way better. lol

It's hard to pick one thing to say about that question...but if I had it to do over again, I would say ''SLOW DOWN!'' You don't have to do everything so fast!

So many choices and only pick one thing? Don't try to save people who want to drown.
