My Mom and Auntie have been very keen knitters in their time. Out of the three cousins only I have become a knitter.
I have always knit...even as a young child in junior school, i guess about seven or eight , i knit headbands for myself and one of my cousins.
At college I started knitting jumpers and cardigans.
When i was working at my last school I used to knit for Easter...chicks, baskets and bunnies...the sort we put an egg inside and sold.
Christmas I did snowmen, Father Christmas and mini stockings in which we put a joke a forfeit and a mini chocolate bar and sold.
I also knit larger items for Christmas to bve raffled off.
All the monies went to school fund.
Last year I did the knit for Dementia challenge ....I did two ' potato chip ' scarves.
what is your favourite hobby ....

When I was a kid, I was always fiddling with things and the doctor told mom to teach me something so my hands would stay busy... Mom taught me how to crochet.
I taught Pretty the beginning steps to crocheting when she was a teenager but she abandoned it... A few days ago she decided to start crocheting again. I gave her my needles and several skeins of yarn. She's been watching YT videos and crocheting along with them. Who knows if she'll keep it up this time or not.

@Traceyjayne Yes, they're both calming exercises... Talking on myLot is also a nice, calming exercise.

My favourite hobby is cooking .
Simple as that really..
I don't really have anything else that is a hobby as such
Motorbikes don't count as a hobby.
They are a way of life

I am not sure if it is a hobby or a pastime, but I really enjoy traveling.

@Traceyjayne I have liked just about everywhere I have gone. I liked Las Vegas and Yellowstone as well as Hawaii alot. Closer to home..Watkins Glen in New York State is nice, as well as Great Falls in Virginia, a fantastic but little known tourist attraction and small National Park.
