So , a friend of The Mister recently caught a Seabass and we were lucky enough to be given it. My Mom who is a bit of a whizz in the kitchen had the job of getting rid of all those pesky bones ….and there were many in him !….Stanley as I called him. So, we have had Stanley for tea the last couple of evenings and oh my days ….simply delicious ! It was absolutely huge…easily four times as big as those you see in the supermarket. I am wondering now if I can get The Mister to take up fishing ….as I rather have got the liking for fresh fish ….plus it was free ! Are you a fisher person …man or woman ? Do you eat what you catch ….or throw it back ?

Love to go fishing! I grew up fishing and it is now something that I do with my husband. Yes, we do eat what we catch. That's the whole purpose of fishing, isn't it? It would be rather expensive for gas in truck, gas in boat, $$ paid for bait to throw fish back when caught.

@Traceyjayne Right! No different than going to buy it in the store and then eating it.

That’s what I think too. I would find it hard to throw the fish back ….I’d just think of my supper.

I hate the bones so I keep my fish intake to when we eat out. We rarely find a bone in bought fish.
