Hypoglycemia

I talked about drowsiness at odd hours. I searched the Net and one cause I noticed was dehydration. I started drinking more water but did not notice any difference. I finally decided to speak to my doctor and did that this morning. He told me it was hypoglyemia (low sugar). He suggested that I eat a few Marie biscuits with tea around 11 in the morning. I will give that a try and also drink more water Image credit:

So he suggested more sugar without tests? I am surprised, drowsiness can also be because too much sugar. Reading your posts I have the feeling you consume enough sugar.

This doctor has treated me for years and I am a low sugar candidate and have never experienced high sugar my whole life. I get my blood tested as per norms. . What I ate for breakfast may be the cause I will soon get biscuits and will continue to drink more water. Drinking more water has helped me somewhat That is why I can eat chocoltes (lol)

@LadyDuck Your blood sugar must be on the higher side that despite eating less sugar you do not get hypoglycemia

@allknowing - I eat chocolates, but only dark chocolate that has a low sugar content compared to other chocolates. I try to consume little sugar because I fear belly fat, that is dangerous.

It would help if you have a handy glucometer at home so you can measure your blood sugar daily or as needed. This would help you monitor your blood sugar.
