I just got back from a 5-day trip to Singapore, and I thought I’d share the experience here. It was a short visit, but filled with amazing sights, relaxing walks, and a lot of memorable moments.
We arrived at Changi Airport, and right from the start, I was impressed. Everything was clean, organized, and efficient. The highlight was definitely Jewel Changi — seeing the Rain Vortex up close was stunning. It’s not every day you find a giant indoor waterfall inside an airport!
Throughout the trip, we explored some of Singapore’s most iconic spots. We visited Chinatown, walked to Merlion Park for the classic photo, and enjoyed the view around Marina Bay Sands. One thing I really appreciated was how clean and safe the streets were. It was easy and comfortable to walk around — and thankfully, the weather was kind enough to stay cloudy, which made exploring even more enjoyable.
A big highlight was our visit to Gardens by the Bay. The Flower Dome and Cloud Forest were incredible — cool, peaceful, and beautifully designed. We ended that day watching the Supertree Grove Light Show with my wife. Sitting on the grass under glowing trees, listening to music… it felt magical.
We spent our last full day on Sentosa Island, enjoying the beach and sea breeze. We even made it to the Southernmost Tip of Continental Asia — a simple but fun milestone to experience.
Before heading to the airport, we dropped by Jewel one last time — a calm, beautiful sendoff before flying home. The trip may have been short, but it was definitely meaningful. Singapore made a lasting impression on me.
Have you been to Singapore? What did you enjoy most?

I've only left the US one time to go into Mexico to bring a friend back when I was in my twenties... That was a nice trip but you make me want to visit other parts of the world now...
I'm glad you enjoyed the trip.

Actually, this is our second time visiting those familiar places. There is not much change in the Merlion, but they added a platform where it is nice to take pictures because of the angle. The Marina Bay Sands is quite an enormous hotel and shopping place, which has basically not changed. The Gardens by the Bay was our first time to visit since they have these two large domes that mimic a garden with lots of plants from all over the world. They have plants from succulents to roses. The other dome has the tropical mountain tops feel, but they made it Jurassic Park as a theme when we visited.

It's one country to visit. The place is just so organized, from the airport to their transport system. You won't easily get lost once you've figured out how they are connected. Payment can also be very convenient since it accepts cards even on a bus and train. No more buying tickets and lining up in queues at the station—just tap and go.
