Continued... Normally, we are not in a dire rush to get home, but my husband had a freight delivery scheduled for Thursday, July 3rd in between 11 am and 3 pm. He had ordered a new attachment for his tractor, a Flail Mower. This needed a signature for delivery and after the first two blowouts, he went into a panic with a full blown anxiety attack. If we had not of had the 3rd blowout, we would have made it home in time for the delivery, but having to wait for tire place to open, cost us a good 4-5 hours after the drive to get there. Early Thursday morning he got on the phone to try to reschedule delivery. He finally got a supervisor on the phone and she said it would be no problem. She told him that xyz would call him and schedule a new delivery date. So Friday rolls around and no phone call. Hey, it's the 4th of July. Most places are closed. Saturday rolls around and still no phone call. This morning he was up before the sun came up waiting to call them back since nobody had called him. He finally got the same lady he talked to on Thursday. She told him that she remembered talking to him and asked him what could she help him with today. He told her no phone call. It turns out that the person that was/is to call him works as her assistant and didn't come in to work for another 30 minutes. Turns out the assistant did call him back within 40 minutes. The new delivery date is going to be tomorrow, Tuesday. Hoping this man settles down now! How is your day going? Photo Credit: MechMaxx

I'm glad everything worked out. I'll bet you need a vacation after that, lol. I have a pork tenderloin slowly baking, I made cold tuna salad yesterday, the baked beans are leftovers and I have strawberry shortcake for dessert. I got some Kona coffee pods the other day and I'll try it out after dinner. 75° and sunny today. Slight breeze out of the west. Perfect.

I picked up a pork tenderloin the other day at the store and that is probably what will be on the menu tomorrow. Today I ran in to our local store and they had pork roasts on sale, so I got one of those. I guess it will be pork week here. You are having great weather there! We are in the mid 90's still. It's HOT!

@kareng Ugh. 90's is hot for me. The pork loins were 1.94 a pound and so I picked up four 5 pounders. They will get used up in no time.

You had a wild trip home, for sure. I bet you really don't want to go anywhere else for awhile, I know I wouldn't. I am glad you weren't hurt from the tire blowouts, etc. That had to be very nerve wracking!

We both said no more road trips for awhile. About 15 minutes later I jokingly said for at least 2 weeks and laughed. He said it will be longer than that!! Yet he is planning a trip to New Jersey to see his brother and wants to go before school starts. That is going to be a long drive!

It did, thank goodness. I will need to get out there in the morning and try to save some more pecan trees before he cuts them down. I need to put some nesting boxes together and get a day when he can help me put the greenhouse up. That still hasn't been done with all of the illness!

The riding lawnmower is getting a bit rough, so he is going to sell it while it still has some life left. This will replace it.

I can only imagine how panicked he was when he has something that important coming in the mail I know I would be too, I learned when I have something coming in the mail I don't leave the house, so I DON'T miss being there & miss it.

Tell me about it! And the man is planning on a trip to New Jersey before school starts to see his brother. School starts here in the middle of August! I'm not ready for that. Not enough time for planning!
