Why are we so obsessed with the weather ?

It’s true ….we really do spend so much time thinking about the weather.
We even get weather forecasts on to and radio.
Some people get alerts sent to their phones.
Some people don’t leave the house until they have checked the weather forecast.
Right now, the rain is lashing down ….maybe that is a bit dramatic….its been raining really heavily for the past 20 minutes or so ….
We had thunder a couple of nights ago ….hope we don’t get that again.

I told you I’m bored out of my brain not being able to do very much at the moment …weather has become exciting for me …..lol

I grew up in a place where it was important to keep an eye on the weather. In summer, there was threats of severe weather and tornados, hail and high straight line winds. Temperatures often reached 100F.
In the winter, there was threats of freezing temperatures, wind chills, ice storms, blizzards or heavy snow. So paying attention to the weather has always been important to me.
I moved away from that climate so those worries aren't as great now but there are new threats here. Forest fires, earthquakes, landslides and tsunami.
Today is a beautiful day. It's clear and sunny with a temperature of 75F with 40% humidity and a slight breeze out of the west.

Yes, there are parts of the world that have severe weather….our country is not one of those ….its all a bit boring here !
It must be frightening at times living where you do ….earthquakes etc …..

I pay more attention to the weather now than I did when I had to drive to work no matter what the weather was doing. If I don't have to be out in it, I don't like to drive in nasty weather. No reason to subject myself or Pretty to being out in it.
I refuse to drive if it's snowy outside or if the rain is coming down... There's no reason to do that.

Weather has this funny way of becoming a daily obsession! It's one of the few things that impacts everyone, whether we like it or not.

Do you check the weather forecast daily ? My partner does ….it drives me crazy sometimes
