This Dentist visits this hospital on call. I just had tofix an appointment. It is a blessing in disguise that my old Doctor was not contactable This hospital is a part of that set up to whom we have gifted our Solitaire I got VIP treatment I was taken care of every step of the way. I was entertained with a cup of tea and a bun Sadly though the Dentist said I will have to extract that wisdom tooth that caused all the trouble as it is shaking. I am now on antibiotics for 3 days and will soon have to fix another appointment for the much dreaded extraction. What can't be cured has to be endured. How was your day?

@allknowing Those teeth are useless, they are never replaced and you cannot even notice they are missing. It's not a painful process.

I had to have all my wisdom teeth removed back in my early twenties. I don’t remember much due to the anesthesia. They all had to be cut out.

Have they been replaced. How convenient is it to eat without them if they have not been replaced.?

@allknowing Wisdom teeth are inconsequential. If the dentist has said it’s a wisdom tooth it won’t need to be replaced, and you can eat fine without them.

If it's a wisdom tooth causing your pain, extraction is the only solution to stop it. Wisdom teeth don’t really serve any purpose; they just grow in, often decay quickly, and end up causing discomfort and pain.

Wait a minute. Don't they help you to bite your food?

I'm sorry the tooth has to come out. That doesn't sound much fun at all.

it is good you got the wisdom uprooted. If the tooth is giving trouble the dentist has done the right thing

I'm sorry. When I was a teenager, I had to have all 4 wisdom teeth extracted. I was miserable afterwards for a whole week.

I had two wisdom teeth removed and honestly I barely noticed. I hope it will be an easy experience for you as well.

I am not someone who likes all that. It is years since I have sat on a dentist's chair.

A decaying tooth can be unforgiving and a constant, painful, reminder. It is good that you get the best attention and treatment.
