Lovely Nature walk...

It was just a short walk around the school campus with three of my special needs children. The assistant teacher also joined us and she enjoyed it too with those children. We walked for about 20 minutes looking around the plants, trees and flowers. We collected few leaves, flowers and stones for our Nature table. Came back to our work room, made this decoration with flowers and leaves before lighting up the lamp. It gives a divine vibe
. We did our story session sitting around it. Then some sorting activities using the things that we collected around the campus, sorting the different leaves and flowers. Making some arrangement on the floor using them. And later getting our hands dirty dipping them in paint and getting the prints of those leaves on paper. These children had enough sensorial experience today. And then I went to grade 2 to tell them an interesting story about zero and it's significance. We played some games too.
. Meanwhile, the assistant teacher with the helper worked on some writing skills of our special children. I have given them enough lesson plan to work on academics for these children while I take care of other responsibilities.
I love my job. There is no dull moment there
Back home, relaxing with music and mylotting. I will take care of few chores in a while, after answering my notifications.
Hope all is well in your myLot corner.
Take care.

@allknowing There are few such schools here following Alternative way like Waldorf, Montessori or Krishnamurti philosophy like Valley School. They are just beautiful and children are very happy there. They do very well in their lives too later.

Waldorf schools are like that. I work for this Waldorf school called Kingdom of Childhood. You can see their Facebook page and would love the way they teach. Actually it started as a homeschooling set up with few parents ( I was one of them for my younger daughter) and slowly became what it is today...a proper alternative school. They have two campus, one in city and one huge one on outskirts. Special children section ( Kalpataru) is in city alongwith younger children kindergarten and some regular children who are slow in learning. Rest are in the bigger campus. I don't visit bigger campus unless there is a special event. Our children from this campus go there once in a week in groups for fun outdoors and farming activities.
I am not a regular employee there. I am more of consultant kinds and have various sporadic roles including training, curriculum development, counselling for parents and students etc. The founder of the school plays a key role in my daughter's life. He is my mentor too. I work there in various role, not on a fixed salary like other teachers. They compensate me on the hours that I put and also the role that I fulfill. It works well for me.
Definitely check their facebook page or website. Website might not be as updated as Facebook. See the posts, how beautifully children learn farming, go for tours for geography block etc.
There are several schools here that follow alternative way of learning. They are beautiful and holistic.

Divine vibes? Yes. I can easily vibrate on that level by just seeing the photo there. It looks so calm and tranquil.
Grade two students getting to know the significance of zero... Wow! You are doing a great job, ma'm!

Thank you. I am glad that you liked it. We have a spiritual corner( not to be confused with religion) and nature corner or season's corner. These are my favorite corners
I love to make up stories, simple ones that children can relate to to teach them concepts. My job keeps me active and imaginative

@arunima25 And your job keeps you contributing towards building the country's future as well.
Welcome! Well yes, there was no question of not liking it. You come up with stories. Even if they are imaginary, doesn't matter, as long as they serve the purpose shaping the mentality of the students.
Yes. Being spiritual and religion are two totally different things. Simple enough! I don't think it needs any explanation.
