We got the trash taken to the road. I had someone ask me once why that was such a big deal. It really isn't that big of a deal, but when I say we take it to the road it is a trek. LOL. The road is a mile from the house so we load up all the trash and drive it to the road the night before they come and pick it up. So we got that taken care of.
Then I switched laundry to the dryer. I was going to do another load, but decided against it tonight. We don't really have a full load, and I know that there are things that will need to get washed tomorrow that can help make a full load. I will strip the bed and do the towels and mats from the bathroom tomorrow when there's no one using them. So laundry is done for the night too. Well its in the dryer- which is basically the same thing. I have some towels and stuff to fold and put away from last nights laundry escapades.
I also cleaned up the corner where all our stuff gets piled up. I found some things that have been misplaced, and found my shorts that I haven't seen since last summer. I threw away some stuff that had just been collecting dust. So that feels good. I found my craft stuff so I can start doing crafts again. Which is nice.
I closed the kitchen down. Washed the dishes from dinner, and the fryer from last night. I also wiped down the counters and trash can and oven and stove. So I did a bit of a deep clean. I mopped. Well spot mopped.
Now I am going to clean up our bathroom and then fold this last load of laundry and be done for the night.
I'm feeling pretty accomplished. Hope you are too!

I didn't feel wore out till I finally sat down. Now my aches and pains were starting to present themselves.

That’s a lot to get accomplished in one evening. You need some help in the kitchen for clean up time, can everyone take a turn so you aren’t having to do it all yourself?

I have, yes. And no, I am far from a perfect parent, I do know that. But I knew once they went to college they would be on their own, and need to know how to cook and clean up, shop for foods, plan meals, do laundry...so they all had times that they had to help. They never seemed to really mind. Once they had jobs and went to school the help was sketchy, but they still did pitch in when they could. I just wanted to know they could do it if they had to.
