Twitter's CEO has quit

Shocker after Elmo's behavior over the past several months and that AI chat thing called Grok spewing antisemitic garbage. Linda Yaccarino the CEO announced today that she was leaving the company. That's not really a surprise after yesterday's Grok meltdown and Elmo's craziness. Grok is the AI chat bot that users can ask questions to including what the veracity of certain posts is. Apparently yesterday it went on some antisemitic answer spree that resulted in it being taken offline for awhile, then reinstated, and then it was posting even MORE crazy stuff. I teach science and I always get students saying that we should bring back the dinosaurs from extinction. My response is "um have you seen Jurassic Park?" I've always had the same opinion of AI--"um have you seen Terminator 2?" With COVID we've had our students doing most of their work on their Chromebooks. Well by almost the end of the school year I had to go back to having them do everything on paper and without internet because not only did they want to Google everything but they were also using ChatGPT and the like. They would do it even when they knew I could see their Chromebook screens using a program called Securly. This upcoming school year I am going to do almost everything on paper and without Chromebooks. We can go back to the year 2000 for all I care. AI is a nightmare and our students are only going to become dumber for it. (granted NJ is consistently ranked #1-3 for education in the nation) So Yaccarino is out. Who knows who Elon will be able to attract to fill the CEO position. He is toxic, his brands are toxic, he's high most of the time, and he is still stupidly inserting himself into national politics.
