I have been here at work since 7:30 in the morning. Training started at 8 am and will end at 5 in the afternoon. The training started last Tuesday and its going to end this Friday. Very exhausting!
I have to work with some papers in between and it is time to take a short break!
I never really liked attending meetings, seminars and training. Most of them are a waste of time but this is part of my work and I have to deal with it.
Hope you are enjoying your day.

I always hated meetings and seminars... They were always a waste of time and someone just wanted to hear themselves talk...
I'm glad I'm retired and don't have to attend or listen to training anymore.

@cherigucchi I was forced to retire when I couldn't see to do the work anymore... I'm just now reaching early retirement age in October.

Here, meetings mean "spectacle". They are so busy with meetings, they leave field work and attend meetings. It's such a mystery has to what all do in meetings. But none of the decisions taken their seem to get implemented. The general public still doesn't get any output out of these so called meetings. I fell to understand what all those men discuss there, but it doesn't show results for this citizens.

Let’s face it, nobody really jumps for joy at the thought of attending a seminar, especially when a mountain of work is waiting for you back at the office. It’s like a guarantee that the workload will multiply like rabbits while you're away. But hey, in the working world, it’s all about showing the bosses that you’re not just a desk ornament collecting dust—you’re growing, learning, and keeping up with the times. Sure, some seminars feel as useful as a chocolate teapot, but appearances matter! And let’s not forget those crafty folks who view seminars as a golden opportunity to dodge their usual tasks, sip on bad coffee, and collect brownie points for their “dedicated participation.” They come back with a grin, a certificate, and a temporarily lighter workload. Win-win, right?

Same with my husband and most of the times these meetings are not in his office but nearby towns

I have never really liked it especially if the speaker is only reading the slide presentation
