Hello mylotters. Hope all well in your corner. It's Friday afternoon here and I am back from work. Yay!! Weekend begins . Happy to be back to work this week and getting excited to welcome weekend. I plan to keep it slow and relaxed doing the minimum. Yesterday, there was heavy pouring for about half an hour in the afternoon. I was busy in taking the therapy session. Seems like there was a beautiful rainbow outside that I missed while working. I got to know of it only when I saw messages from my friends. My daughters were out enjoying with their friends and they saw it while coming back and clicked the picture from the car. My husband was upstairs and he realized it a bit late. By then it started to fade away. This is the picture taken by him. I chose this over my daughters picture despite the rainbow being faded. My daughters picture has more traffic than the rainbow. At least here, we get to see some soothing greenery. My elder daughter is going back tonight. That makes me a bit sad. Anyways, she chose to spend today with one of her school friend who came last night to the city. They have gone for breakfast at one Korean outlet that has recently opened. My younger daughter requested her to eat less, so that she can come back for lunch and enjoy something special that she is cooking for her. She is in kitchen, cooking and baking something. We will see what it is in some time when elder one comes back. I will try to post a picture in the next post. My elder one leaves tonight after dinner. And she has still not started packing. Her things are scattered all over the house and she is doing some last minute shopping with her friend after their breakfast. This generation works at the last moment. And I am sure that when she packs, I will keep reminding her for things. That's all for blabbering from this side. I will read your posts and respond till I get a call for lunch. The aroma is nice and I am sure that something good is cooking

It must be interesting sitting back and watching your two girls getting on with their lives. Our children do things so differently to us, don't they?

She packed just half an hour before she left. She stayed cool and relaxed, playing games with her sister. I was worried and starred putting her stuffs together on the bed, so that she doesn't forget. . Yes, our children are so different from us. She left last night and the house seems weirdly silent today.

@arunima25 It's probably good that she is a little more laid-back than perhaps you are but perhaps too she depends on you to help her get organised.

@JudyEv I like it now when she gets me involved in organizing her things when she is here. When she cleans and organize her room in the college hostel, she will video call me and show it.. She wants to boast and even show that she gets it from me.

Young people now are a lot different from even the way my daughter does things... I packed a few days before we left for a trip... My daughter packs the day before we leave on a trip... It always worried me when she took so long to get ready to go but at least I knew she was ready before the car was started.

Yes, I am also like that. Once I know of the trip, I would slowly start planning and packing a little each day. She made stuffed garlic bread and banana muffins. I will share the pics once I make post about that.

What a beautiful picture. The rainbow and the backdrop were captured amazingly. Have fun with your daughters while they are with you. I am sure everything will turn out well for you and them. Now, I remember to eat at my fave Korean restaurant.

He was a bit late to capture it. The rainbow started fading by then. Yes, the greenery around my home is lovely. It was a beautiful double rainbow. My elder daughter left and the house is weirdly silent without her. Well, it's a part of life. It moves on. Well, hope that you get to eat at your favorite Korean restaurant soon. I have not tried anything Korean so far, except kimichi.

A great rainbow. I saw one here too but did not capture it as I was driving and the stoppage was at a place where trees were obstructing view. The weather is pleasant and in some ways, this is the best part of Monsoons. Glad to know that you and your family had a good time on Friday. I had work plus some pending task at a local Telco office. We had heavy downpour on Monday morning and some scattered rains on Tuesday. The good effect lingers on as of now. Have a nice Thursday ahead!

@arunima25 Plus statistically, Delhi has seen the best air quality since Sep 2023(days of heavy rains!). It was around 51 ! Much much better than some early November high pollution days when readings above 350 AQI are not uncommon.

@arunima25 The cloud seeding experiment has been postponed to September. Interestingly, Delhi has seen some heavy rainy days in September since the last 7 to 8 years. The Monsoon patterns have changed a lot.

I missed it. My husband also realised a bit late and by that time it started fading away. It was beautiful double rainbow. Happy to know that you had some shower there. Must be a big relief from the heat. I hope that the temperature stays good and bearable. My daughter was very sad when she reached her college due to the heat. Going from a pleasant weather here to that side in summer is not something you like. I hope that this shower has done some good to their place too. I will talk to her tonight.

Thank you. Yes, they do. They keep fighting like any siblings. But then, they have a very strong bonding. I just pray that it stays like this always.
