Two boaters who were aboard a 12 foot Jon boat are grateful to be alive after their boat started to take on water near Bald Head Island in North Carolina on Thursday July 10.
It is evident that one of the boaters must have sent an emergency to members of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) from the boat when the boat started to take on water.
The USCG officials sent a rescue team from USCG Station Oak Island to the area where the boar was sinking in the ocean with one boater clinging on a cooler while the other was inside the boat.
Both boaters were taken back to safety to the shore while their boat was towed back to shore safely by the USCG officials.
The cause of the boat accident is under investigation by the authorities. Both boaters are safe and sound.

Ugh. They read the directions wrong. They were supposed to put the boat in the water, not water in the boat.
Thank goodness for the USCG.

I like riding on boats but not that much due to the fear of water.

Perhaps they had not checked over their boat recently for seaworthiness, as boats are not meant to take on water like this. It was good they were rescued, nonetheless.

That is true that the boat was not checked properly.
