Ploughman’s lunch …..resulted in full belly !

We were out today and late afternoon we were getting hungry and popped into a pub that we had been to before so that we could have a drink ….my, it’s been a scorcher today …..and something to eat.
Looking at the menu we both decided we didn’t really want anything cooked …we were way too hot already.
Then we spotted the Ploughman’s ….perfect, so we ordered two ….one each.
When they came …..they were HUGE!
It was amazing value , we couldn’t eat it all so we asked for a take out box and we have enough for supper for both of us. Next time we will have one to share.
Included on the Ploughman’s was ….
Beef, gammon, cheddar cheese, Stilton cheese, pickled onion, giant gherkin, pork pie, scotch egg, coleslaw, piccalilli, salad, and a full size baguette.

They were £16.75 each…..they were on the main menu section …..but oh my days ….there was so much food there , we honestly will share one next time.

Just pop to the pub for a bite to eat and a drink and spend £40+

I know what some of those items are but is a pork pie a sandwich? And what is piccalilli?

No, pork pie is meat encased in pastry.
Piccalilli is chopped mixed pickled veg in a mustard sauce.

That does sound a giant meal. I'd never get through that at one sitting.
