Lunch Box

While I was working I would get my lunch delivered to the office by what are called "Dhabhawalas' They had a mysterious way of delivering lunch boxes to countless in the city and they made no mistake. They had certain markings on our lunch boxes which only they understood. The empty lunch box would then be taken back as well and correctly delivered again Prince Charles was so impressed that he got himself involved with them. Those in this photo are particularly pretty. We had a lunch box to bring to school, the nuns reheated the meals inside those boxes. I liked it more than having the food prepared by the nuns. We called them "schiscetta".

@allknowing We brought the lunch box with us in the morning and the food was served at noon, it had to be re-heated.

@LadyDuck The Dabhawala picked the box from the house The maid was there in the house to hand over. Within a matter of two hours it woudl reach me My husabdn got food from his canteen Theirs was a 6 course meal - a 5 star standard. I envied him

@Ineeddentures The whole world knows about that but his interest in Dhabhawalas is real and not something a Prince would normally indulge in and he did
