Usually , I can write good English here in mylot. But in telegram tonight , they told me to speak my native language which is Tagalog and I feel comfortable and then translate what I spoke in English and I felt nervous because some words that I said made me nervous and I can't translate them in English. Pardon me Telegram for what I had done before. I thought that anyone will hear me , my recordings as well as make fun of me. Have a nice day mylotters!

That's natural though. Not all languages have the same words. I found that out when I was learning Spanish. There's so many different styles of Spanish and not all have the same words either. Languages can be very confusing sometimes.

Our national language Gaelic If there is no Gaelic word for something they just say it in English I watched a program for Gaelic learning people and half of everything spoken was in English They have never made new words for a long time So anything modern they just use English words in a Gaelic sentence

@Ineeddentures I've never known a language to add words...other than English and the words we add aren't even words it's slang but I digress...they just find work around words or descriptions which works for most.

@Ineeddentures yes , Tagalog or Filipino also borrows English word as a Tagalog term sometimes

Some languages don't have the same words or usage as others. It is rather interesting. I would feel nervous too. Keep on trying and you will get better.

That isn't easy to do. Certain Tagalog words have no English translation, like 'po'.

Interlanguage can be really hard to activate. It usually takes time but with constant exposure to the English language, you'll get better in shifting Tagalog to English, more so in translating from Tagalog to English even the best in thinking in English.

I wish that I can speak in English well in the future because I didn't use to speak in English.

@cabuyogty Exposure is what you need in order to get used to it. Like what you are doing here in myLot is one thing. Watching TV series or movies is another. Trying to speak English in everyday conversation can also be another.

Yes it's a task but it's not allowed to mention a task here. They are in Telegram.

You did your best, and that’s what matters. The more you practice, the easier it will get.
