Three Kinds of People

I remember a long time ago I was told by someone, although I forget who, that there are three kinds of people in the world.
There are those who wait for things to happen.
There are those who make things happen.
And there are those who wonder what happened.
As it goes, of course, you want to be the one in the middle.
You will often hear me say that most of life is by design. In other words, there's a reason our lives turn out the way they do, and much of how it turns out depends on us. It depends on what we do and what we don't do, and on what we learn and what we fail to understand.
For better or for worse, we really do make our own beds, and thus, we have to sleep in whatever bed that is that we make.
If we never save or invest our money, we can never be rich. If we don't learn how to cook, we will likely fall to ill health by not eating well. In life we have choice and we have opportunity. What we do with those things has as much to do with how our lives are ultimately shaped as anything does.
Sure. Sometimes things happen outside of our control. But really, how many things are really outside of our control?
We might lose a job, for example. We can't always control that. But we can prepare ourselves for what happens next if we do.
The bottom line point here is that in order for our lives to be productive and fulfilling, there are things we must do to make those things happen. If we wait for things to happen, things most likely won't ever happen, and if we wonder what happens when it does, it means we haven't taken the time to understand our own personal roles in why things happen.
Being the person in the middle does not guarantee things will happen that are good. But if something good will happen, it will most likely come to the one who is trying as opposed to the one who isn't, or the one who isn't even remotely curious what to do.

@Traceyjayne Sure we can. We just quit and work somewhere else. It's why I always kept money. It was a way of saying "eff you." lol
As I always say about money. It's more about having the freedom to do what you want, when you want, and on your own terms than anything. No one can force you to do anything if you have enough money in the bank that you can afford to lose a paycheck for a little while...
Or permanently.

I like to think I'm a middle line person. I don't sit around and wait for things to change when life throws you a curve ball.

@porwest I'm the one that made things happen. My hubby was the one that waited for things to happen...he left a lot of things up to me.

I want to make best use of each day in the life. I have made things happen. I have waited for things to happen and then there have been times when I have wondered what happened. Life is unpredictable and many a times goes off track. But then doing our best to stay prepared is what we can do.

I start my week by writing down what I want to accomplish, then I proceed through the week to make that happen and I also have myself down for two days of blogging and then I look back at my notebook and feel good about what I have accomplished
