Ignorance and apathy

I think this is just the most amazing phrase. Ignorance means I don't know and apathy means I don't care.
(First of all the photo is our daughter Tammy learning how to do housework! No relation to the post at all.)
How many times in life does this fit our state of mind.
There are times when I read or hear about something that's rather interesting and I really want to learn more. It keeps the brain active to learn something new. Like info on how to do something I never thought of doing.
And there are times the subject is something I really do care about, whether I know a lot about it or not. Like the recent horrific floods in Texas where so many lost their lives, many of them children. I really do care.
But sometimes in life it's Ignorance and Apathy. Like when I read some celebrity has discovered a brand new way to drink orange juice.
Ignorance and apathy. Honestly.
There are times when I don't know and I really, really don't care.
Have you had ignorance and apathy episodes?

Tammy wasn't quite as enthused about chores when she became a teenager!

Instead of commenting on your post, I find that little angel more to talk about
Tammy is definitely learning new things at this tender age. How old is she, by the way now?

Thanks, she was outgrowing that little dress I made for her! She was doing one of her chores for the day. More play than work, though.

Yes. Many times.
One of my worst spankings as a kid was when Dad was mad at something stupid that I did and he asked me in a raised voice, What are you, ignorant or apathetic?
I looked at him and knew I should have just took it, but I said I don't know but I really don't care.
I can't post what came after that. Couldn't sit for two days though.
Any news Hollywood, Fashion, the latest trends, anything woke or what WHO, the UN or any other world leader says... I don't know and I don't care.
I think I have old photos of the kids hanging clothes on the line. That was a nice photo.

Thanks. That's a funny story, but I'm sure the ending wasn't quite as humorous.

Thanks Linda. Tammy was always a little tornado and hasn't slowed down yet. Well, except for her medical problems.

At this stage of life I can't call myself ignorant. Of course I learning something everyday. I don't care for those people who are unkind and harm people for no reason.
