Items on offer …..Sorry madam , out of stock !

I use a lot of shopping apps as well as getting offers in store. Today I went shopping with my Mom and checked my apps before I went. There was a bottle of fabric conditioner that I use and the accompanying scent booster, that I could get as a package and save over half the cost. Great I thought , that’s a great deal….off I tootles , had to search a while to even find said items ….then they only had one of the options in the size and scent that I could get. The other, when I enquired about it was “ out of stock, madam “ How annoying….by the time we go shopping again the offer may well have finished ! Oh well, you can’t win them all I suppose !

Pretty checks the apps before we go shopping for groceries. Sometimes she asks if I'd be interested in trying something different because we can get money back if we buy the items listed in the app. I look the items over and usually, we buy it. Once in a while, I'll point out an ingredient that one of us can't/won't eat and we pass that deal up. Sometimes, we buy that item again when it's not on sale because we enjoyed it a lot. *shrug*

I do find it’s a good way of trying new items. Using the apps you can try them for free or at a hugely discounted price.

If I am truly desperate, I will leave my mobile number with them and tell them to call me as soon as the stock is available.

Do they ever call you back ? Is this a large store or a small independent shop ? I doubt if our stores would even take the phone number and they definitely wouldn’t call you ….they would say it’s up to me if I want the items to go in and check, as they are open 7 days a week. Also the offer was on a shopping app not one linked to the store so nothing really to do with them.

@Traceyjayne Oh yes, they do call me back. I am a regular with them. So if I need anything that is out of stock. I will tell them to help me to keep a lookout then they will write it down. When it is here, they will give me a call.

I don't like having to work so hard for a great deal. There have been times it took me so much time that I don't think it was a savings because the time could have been used in a different way, I agree we can't win them all.
