So, yesterday since I was at Costco I picked up one of their great buys a 5 pound rotisserie chicken for 4.99. I know other places sell it for that, but not the size Costco has. This is super meaty, and will be used for several things to eat. I eat these alot in the summer since I like to minimize the cooking. I am having a salad with it in now. It's so versatile. Have you gotten any great buys lately?

@snowy22315 My government give all Singaporean family a couple of hundred dollars worth of vouchers for both food and grocery each year to help to defray the cost of living. So we are lucky that our cost for daily expenses had been greatly reduced.

No Walmart's chickens are much smaller. They have two sizes, but even their larger sizes are nowhere as big as these.

@snowy22315 They are all small here now. Started that when Covid hit.

A win is a win. I actually got another one yesterday. My burger at Outback wasn't thoroughly cooked, and I got a 10 dollar coupon for a future visit.

I pick up pop or cheese or some other items on sale when I put together my online order for Walmart.

I go to Costco with my daughter sometimes, and we love those chickens. I pick off all the meat and then toss the bones, etc in the crockpot with some water and seasoning and let it cook. Best broth ever for soups and cooking, I freeze it if I am not needing it. The rotisserie chickens make the best chicken stock.

Yes, I have made soup etc with them. My issue is finding room in my freezer for things like that.
