I always thought when I visitied Italy I woudl get to see rows and rows of Olive trees as tthe Mediteranean climate suited it But that did not happen . We visited many cities but we could see none. This was one more disappointment I exprienced on my several tours I have been to The only satisfaction I now got was to browse the Net and look at the photos I am sharing it with you Image credit:

@id_peace YES, in Greece there are olive trees that are older than 2,000 years.

I remember lots of wonderful gnarled olive trees all over Majorca. In fact that is one of the things I remember best! But you wouldn't really find them growing in cities.

Well, that would be a disappointment. I would expect to see more considering Spain, Greece, Italy and Tunisia account for 74% of all olive production around the world.

Olive trees do not grow in the cities. You had to visit the Tuscan Hills or the agricultural areas in the south of Italy to see olive trees. There are also many around Garda lake.

I've never been to Italy but I guess you might find olive trees in rural areas not in or near cities.
