What would you do? Tough decision

Need advice. Hi friends, I can go in one direction, or another.
1.) There’s a place I found in Shelby Twp, MI that I really love. It’s a little ritzy and I need to remember to dress up better when I go back in 2 weeks to talk to the lady in charge about getting a room in the early Fall. She only gave me her business card. I blame myself for that because I just rolled out of bed to pick up an application and I didn’t know this place was higher-class and I needed to look more presentable I guess. Most apartments don’t care. This one does.
*OR*
Option 2
Stay where I’m at in this country house with the parents, get some kind of water filtration system up here since we have the gross well water (it turned my hair orange?)
whatever.. then transform this little den right next to my room here that nobody uses into a fun room for my remaining cats with cat climbers and a catio going out the window so they can have some outside fun.
If I choose Option 2, I will upgrade my room somewhat with a kitchenette and then I’ll at least have the good water to use from bathroom sink.
The reason I would choose Option 2 would be so I could save up my money while still living here, and just skip over the whole moving-to-another-place in Michigan and head straight to Myrtle Beach, SC.
Those mini-houses you see in the pic are under $150,000 and I qualify for down payment assistance as a first-time homebuyer.
I would probably stay here in Ira for about a year, and then finally make the big move to M.B. once I’m financially prepared.
Which option would you choose?
All advice is welcome! Thanks guys

@Ineeddentures One move is better than two, less stress, less money wasted.

Thanks Jess, that’s where I’m at right now. Staying put, making things better, and slowly considering options. Appreciate the advice!

I would stay safe and sound for now Mels. It seems a more sensible plan.
Don't want to move to that other place and then for some reason regret it, and have to move back anyway.
Getting a house would be lovely for you!
Yes, that's right there are so many programs, loans for first time buyers.

I love those programs! And that’s why I’m saving them for the exact right time.. can only be used once.
Thanks girly xx

Thank you Judy, it’s a very “unstable” time.. but already found something simple and basic to get some decent water up here. My Dad was impressed.

Save money first. Hustle, scrimp and save! You'll appreciate it later. Don't forget to invest money not just save it.

You talkin’ like a minimalist. I like it! I’m not big on investing, reminds me too much of gambling. Unless you mean like a high yield savings account with a super-high APY
Thanks Jen and welcome to myLot
