Walmart Haul 7.21.2025

I meant to post this last night and didn't get a chance. I was busy doing other stuff. So I guess better late than never. The top picture was a pick up order that one of the places I write, freelance and do reviews for ordered for various projects I have in the works with them. So freebies are always a plus in this house. The bottom picture were a few things I needed to pick up for meals this week and things the kids requested and a few things we just needed. I think I spent like $80 on what we actually purchased, and there was a 12 pack of "tweas" that were put in the fridge and not pictured. So for a drive to Walmart and waiting a few minutes for a surprise order and the money we spent on what we bought we came out pretty good. As @porwest would say, onward and upward.

The only complaint I would have is all that is brand name stuff. Had you gotten Great Value for a lot of this your bill might have only been around $60. But I am not complaining or scolding here one bit. Just to be clear. lol. No. Really. Not at all. And by the way, the Armour Lunchmates are $1 each here at our store. The Lunchables were $1.97. I don't eat them, I just know this because I was just there and my mom bought some. I am going to say, ultimately, you got a good haul for a fair price considering what you bought. Good job and onward and upward, even if ultimately, my overall opinion means nothing to you. That aside, spend all you want on anything you want at Walmart. I own considerable shares of stock in the company, and I like my dividend checks. lol

@thislittlepennyearns In my world, I call your situation an "offset." That aside, when I was growing up we ate what was in front of us. We weren't given options. Starvation is a wonderful incentive, you know. lol

@porwest Well you were born in the depression era wren't you? I let them have what they want when it doesnt cost extra. In this world, in my job- it is worth it. Because I make money off it. Like today I have a check of $1k from writing articles on products. Win win in my book.

@thislittlepennyearns Every single brand name item costs "extra." Hmm. lol. Like I said, you do you. I won't get in the way of that. Not that you'd let me anyway. As for the depression era, that was from 1929 to 1939. I wasn't born until 1973.
