Disgusting police violence in Florida

Shocker, right?
An African-American man was pulled over though the police officer wouldn't tell him why when he asked. He was told to get out of the car and refused, asked for a supervisor, and shut/locked the door. So the tough guys broke the window of the car, told him to show his hands *which he did*, and then literally punched him in the head for no reason since he was simply sitting calmly in the driver's seat and asking for a supervisor. Then they dragged him out of the car and continued to punch him in the head because. . . um I think they wound up arresting him for possession of a small amount of marijuana and having a suspended license.
Seriously? That requires physical violence from police?

The answer is NO IT DOES NOT. Luckily he had a dash camera to record the incident because the cops are trying to say that he was violent, was about to pull a knife, etc.
Freaking disgusting. And people wonder why a lot of society doesn't trust police. There was another incident of a protester in Cincinnati getting repeatedly punched in the head on a bridge over the weekend. I was going to post about it but the whole thing made me sick. This particular cop has been pulled off of active duty and I hope he loses his job.

Wait, he refused a lawful order to exit the car? Then had to be physically removed against his will?
That's part of the problem.
Did the officer overreact?
Yes. He should face charges and be removed from the department.
But, if the driver had complied with the lawful order to exit the vehicle, it's likely that none of this would have happened.
The protester in Cincinatti had attacked law enforcement before trying to escape, so in both cases, had the two just complied with lawful orders...
I realize that there are corrupt law enforcement officers. There are corrupt attorneys, doctors, teachers, butchers, car salesperson, pilots, celebrities, politicians...
The list covers every occupation.
I hate to see this kind of abuse as much as I hate to see LE, ICE and the National Guard get ambushed and attacked.
With the huge number of interactions between LE and suspected criminals, it's a relatively small number of cases where brutality occurs.

I only saw the short clip. I don't know if he was told why he was pulled over but it was clear he was told to exit the vehicle. That's a lawful order during a stop. I'm no fool, if I'm told to exit the vehicle, I comply.
I heard him ask for a supervisor but couldn't tell from the clip if one was dispatched, however, he could wait outside the vehicle until the supervisor arrived. It's always best to comply at the time and bring up questions later. Everyone has body cams. There will be documentation of the stop.

@Vikingswest1 When you are a young black man in America you have to be careful with your dealings with police. I wouldn't have gotten out if they didn't tell me why I was pulled over. He asked for a supervisor which was within his rights and the cops escalated things like breaking the window and punching him in the face. He showed his hands.
And I don't believe police body cams. My neighbor is a cop and says he turns it off all the time when interacting with people.

Isn't this deja vu from a number of years ago with the cops in the states targeting residents fitting this same bill?
It is a shame that he didn't have the respect to tell him why he was pulling him over in the first place, I am sure that would have made for a different outcome.

Some cops let that adrenaline rule their actions. They need to chill.
