Officials with the Transylvania County Rescue Squad (TCRS), Transylvania County Emergency Medical Services, Brevard County Fire Department and Transylvania County Sheriff's Office teamed up to rescue a child who was in the base of the Looking Glass Falls in the Pisgah National Forest on Sunday Forest on Sunday afternoon July 20 The child had swum to the far side of the falls when the river rose due to flash flooding from the rain earlier in the same day which trapped her on one side of the basement of the falls. The child whose gender and age were not mentioned was rescued by two water swift technicians from the TCRS who used a tether to rescue the child to safety. I am wondering if the child knew the risks of being in the base of a waterfall in the first place? Hopefully the child who was not injured will learn a lesson based on what happened at the base of the waterfall. Link is wlos.com/news/local/chi...

I doubt the child knew, and WHERE WERE THE PARENTS? The child shouldn't necessarily be the one to learn from this but the parents. When you take kids out to such places they need to have rules and parents that watch out for them.

@Deepizzaguy It's a place I think in Romania or something like that where Dracula loved as a young vampire Although to be fair they stay young for ever or until they are killed

The parents of these children should get a steep fine and be kept a watch on how they look after their children,

WTH? I'd like to know the age of the child and what parent let him/her swim there.
