We have these flowers in our garden in three different colours - pink, orange and yellow
When we were on holiday at our native place we had to pass a house that had these flowers. I picked seeds from those trees that were easily accessible.
I sowed them once we returned home and all what we sowed germinated.
They have grown into trees now and these flowers are in bloom. They are perennial and we get to see them every day

They are very pretty flowers. I love peacocks & loved to see them walking around the grounds of hotels in India especially when they parade their plumage.

Peacocks used to visit us often. We see them around but not in our garden these days

@allknowing What a shame I visited a local castle a few years back & saw some white peacocks they were stunning to look at.

It was a close call, they might’ve ended up tucked between the pages of a book if it were me.

I had kept them on a table and my niece whose house it was thought it was garbage and luckily I spotted her cleaning the table and stopped her from discarding them

They are beautiful. The trees grow easily and are easy maintenance plants. We had them in all the colors that you mentioned in my grandparent's home. I remember even getting pricked by their thorns while trying to pluck them as young girl. I was not aware that they are called peacock flowers.

@allknowing Even I have them vivid in my memories, especially with the thorns pricking me
