A nice beef stew ….with red wine, and creamy mash.

I have had a little sleep and have just woken up to the most gorgeous aroma coming from downstairs ….. The Mister is coming home a day early and Mom is getting a meal ready for all of us. A stew is the easiest thing as we can have ours at our regular time and it can easily be heated up when he arrives. The beef stew of a favourite of us all and it is so easy to prepare it means that she isn’t standing in a hot kitchen all afternoon. We will be having creamy mashed potatoes with the stew and another vegetable …..im not sure what she has chosen yet. What are you having for your main meal today ?

It is hot and humid here today and I'm not sure if I will even cook later or not. If so, it will be spaghetti...if I have pasta. If not, sandwiches. Stew sounds wonderful! It is one of my favorites in the winter!

@Traceyjayne I was vetoed on that because the hubby had a bad night with acid reflux after I fixed a new Mexican appetizer last night. So it will be hamburgers!

I haven’t had a pasta dish for a while ….and pasta is one of my favourites …maybe next week.

Our main meal is supper and it is just 11 am here... I haven't even considered what I want for lunch at 5 pm yet. The stew and mashed potatoes sounds delicious. I hope you enjoy it.
