Mosquitoe in my ear

I had just gone to sleep and suddenly there was a mosquitoe crescendo in my ear.
I did no know what to do I did not get up as I was cozily under the blanker but shook my head vigorously. It continued with its singing and I continued to shake my head. And finally it came out but not without giving me a gentle bite - almost a kiss - on my ear lobe.
That was a nightmarish experience. I was just thinking what if it pushed itself further and was not able to come out But that did not happen and we both lived happily ever after

That mosquitoe did give me a hard time. I had covered myself completely. It therefore went for my ear to work on

@allknowing - I am glad we have no mosquitoes here, in Switzerland they always gave me a hard time.

Haha oh no, that mosquito had some serious drama flair—turning your ear into its personal concert hall! I can totally picture you, half-asleep, cocooned in your blanket, just shaking your head like you’re trying to say no to a bad idea. And that “kiss” on the earlobe? Classic mosquito mic drop. Glad it made its exit and didn’t decide to move in permanently. You both survived the tale, and now you’ve got the perfect bedtime horror story… with a slightly itchy ending!

Even here we do not have many The fan and my blanket also helps me to keep them away if any but I do not know where this one came from

@id_peace Mosquitoe net is old fashoined. We do not have that many. Our windows have mosquitoe nets. One odd mosquitoe visited me.

If I hear a mosquito near my head/ear, I continue to swat at it until I either kill it or it goes away and bothers somebody else... We used to have mosquitos at this house when we first moved here but I got tired of swatting at them so poured some vegetable oil into the culvert at the end of our yard. That kept new mosquitos from breeding in the water back there and kept mosquito larvae from being able to climb out of the water and develop their wings. We haven't had mosquitos in three or four years here. 2 people like this

Normally once the fan is on and I cover myself with a blanket they do not bother me but this one I do not know why it decided to bother me.
Where there is a garden there are bound ot be mosquitoes We have mosquitoe nets on all our windows.

@DaddyEvil In our garden there is no standing water. We have good drainage and yes stagnant water does attract mosquitoes.

@allknowing Anywhere there is standing water, you can have mosquitos.
