Firefighters with the Kansas City Missouri answered an emergency call to help a woman who clinging to a tree on Monday near Indian Creek when flood waters forced the woman to seek higher ground. The woman was camping on the ground when the creek was overflowing. The Kansas City firefighters used an inflatable raft to rescue the woman who was clinging to a tree. The woman is thankful that the firefighters heard her pleas for help and thankful that she did not suffer any serious injuries after she was taken to the shore and taken care of by the first responders. Good save. She is camping alone? Is it normal to camp alone there?

It is common for people to camp in that area.

In that situation she would have been very frightened.

That's so incredible, the woman is so brave! I mean others will surely get scared and panic; they might also not be able to cling to a tree for that long until a rescue comes.

She was lucky that she could cling to a tree, as otherwise, she might have been washed away, before she could be rescued.

Good to hear that she is able to get out of her ordeal unharmed. I would probably give her some warm shield to make sure that she is not frozen and some water to slowly get her hydrated again.
