I had a craze for collecting calendars that most companies brought out each year I was particularly attracted to our office calendar which had pretty scenes for each month. Being a Swiss Company those views were breathtaking. They mostly depected snow clad mountains, and greenery around.
I do not look at calendars any more nor do I wait for anyone to gift them to me Our Chruch brings out one each year. I give it away.
The mobiles and the computer shows the time and date on a daily basis and if I want to see a particular month I just search for it on my computer.
How useful is a calendar for you?

I do not think we have had a calendar on the wall in the last 20 years.
I think the last one was all pictures of Scottish Football teams in each month

Very true
I remember my parents giving us kids a calendar at Xmas
They used to get them free.
Sometimes those calendars were our best Xmas gifts

I too don't get calendars anymore. I look at the date or any auspicious days on my smartphone.

I also came to the realization that the need has decreased since smartphones were introduced. I recall that before calendars were significant, people would insist on getting them before the year ended so they could get a new one for the new year. However, since they can quickly check their phones or laptops to see the date and use them as a reminder for significant dates, they no longer search for it. This also applies to watches. as well.

@allknowing That’s true! We do have some calendars lying around that were given to us, still hanging on the wall like forgotten relics of a bygone era. They’re rarely used, and honestly, we often forget to flip them when a new month rolls in—it’s like they’re stuck in a time warp. Occasionally, during dinner, when our phones are out of reach or have mysteriously disappeared into the couch cushions, we resort to consulting the trusty old calendar. It’s like a vintage artifact we turn to for wisdom while debating dates over our meals.

@allknowing Maybe in the future, if someone provides us with calendars, we would gladly accept and use them for easy reference. However, we wouldn't actively seek them out like we used to.

@allknowing - Kitchen waste is picked up every day. Glass bottles it's only three times a month and large paper box three times every month. As I live at the first floor, I bring down and place outside the gate, same as all the others who live here.

I have never ever bought a calendar. Internet has all what we need to know and we still get free calendars.

I love calendars so much. But I like to buy the big ones that businessmen put on their desks for appointments and stuff, so the numbers are super-big and I can see what day it is from my bed even without my glasses on. I take 2 thumbtacks and hang the big desk calendar on my door, then I decorate each month with holiday and seasonal stickers.
It’s so much fun
