Can’t Even Shop at Walmart

By the time an employee in the checkout area yelled about a man with a knife, it was too late. Nearly a dozen people had been stabbed at the busy Walmart in Traverse City, a tourist town on the shore of Lake Michigan, by a man who appeared to have attacked people at random, the sheriff said.
The suspect, 42-year-old Bradford James Gille of Afton, Michigan, used a foldable knife stabbing people. All the victims – who are between the ages of 29 and 84 – are expected to survive; one was treated and released from the hospital, two are in serious condition.
I mean they went to shop for groceries and wound up being stabbed. The hero was a former Marine who helped subdue and catch this man.

Thank goodness all the victims are expected to survive, and that former Marine stepped in.

There are a lot of people with mental health issues in the US... Something needs to be done about it but nobody is taking it seriously.

@RasmaSandra Yes, that's true, too. We don't win and are lucky to keep things going just as they are.

It is a shame that even going to shop at Wal-Mart can be deadly.

There is too much of this happening in our country...stabbings, shootings, driving into a crowd. Something is seriously wrong.

@LindaOHio people who are mentally ill have no one to help them or to diagnose their illness

It's almost as terrible as people including kids queuing up for food in Gaza and getting shot by the IDF.
Just as well there was a former marine there to catch and subdue the guy

Mental illness is the cause of most mass violence, unless it is terrorism. It is very difficult to get mental health care in the US. When they closed the mental hospitals and let everyone out onto the streets, they put everyone in danger. Some people just need to be confined for their own and the public's safety.

@Tampa_girl7 for me it is difficult to get out and about due to hardly any transportation and only my two feet to take me, I keep more to my apartment and order online but I would like to think that if and when I could get out I would be safe,

@1creekgirl wish that people in authority would pay attention to the fact that things are getting so bad before another terrible incident occurs,
