Hello there
It was yesterday when my keyboard started malfunctioning. It caused me to panic when I couldn’t log in to my laptop. I thought some one hacked the password. I tried to removed and cleaned it but it was to no avail. When ever I tried to clean the keys, the V would come out as N in the screen.
I checked some pics to make this post and realized that I bought this back in 2019. So, it’s been six years since I had this keyboard.
Now my new keyboard arrived, it’s time to let this one go. It was good run six years. Mom had beg me for new replacement for a while now.
Have a nice day

I guess it has given you good services and it also needed to retire

Hello @cherigucchi Yes it did. My only mistake is that I didn't put a plastic on it for protection from dust.

I hate when that happens, I know the feeling
I used a onscreen keyboard for a long time
& I NEVER shut my computer down so I don't
have to worry about logging in I let it go to sleep.

Hello @2ndchances24 I am not sure about that. That would certainly kill my laptop if that ever happens.

@Letranknight2015 what would kill your laptop?
I use it on mine & my desk top.

Six years is an impressive lifespan for a keyboard! It definitely earned its keep, even if it pulled a last-minute stunt with that V-to-N trick. Good thing your new one has arrived—your fingers deserve the treat. And hey, looks like your mom knew what she was talking about all along!

@Letranknight2015 Well, I think with a bit of savings and persistence, you might just be able to replace that one with a new one.

It really gave in @rsa101. Sadly, what I really want replace is my laptop since it's more than ten years old now.

We have a computer in our house too. We changed our keyboard maybe a year or two years ago.

@Letranknight2015 I didn't use the computer in our house way too often , my mother and my niece always use the keyboard and my brother to play his PC games if he's day off from his work

@Letranknight2015 I hope you're right. Six years was a long time for a keyboard, though.

@Letranknight2015 , I bought it cheaply too at 32,000 pesos, a Lenovo brand. I already bought a new laptop, an Acer laptop.

It's okay @Deepizzaguy it was bound to be replaced anyways. I just found a way to prolonged it because I couldn't afford to buy one.

@Letranknight2015 The ones built into laptops are the worst. I can't get them to last at all. I am using an external keyboard on mine as we speak.

Meh, it has to go @emelas like all of the old devices here. I have gotten rid of most of them now.
