Goodbye July!

Welcome to the last day of July!! Hoping that this is our last month of hot weather, but I'm not really counting on that at all! August is usually hotter here in the southern states than July, but we can hope, right? We just had a quickie breakfast this morning which was coffee and cinnamon rolls. I will be heading in to town in a few minutes to drop off a customer's order, run into the drug store for my husband's refill, do a quick inventory there of Farmasi stock and then head to the grocery store to see what we will cook later on today. That's all I have planned for today. We have rain in the forecast for later today, so I'll hopefully get some flea market things tagged. I will need to do a run there very soon. What are your plans for this last day of July? Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

I didn't have any special plan. I recieved a call from a bookseller who informed me about a book I had been looking for months. It was out of print. He somehow managed to have a copy from a bookseller in a city. I went to his shop in the evening and now I've got it.

@kareng Yes, I'm very happy to have the book. The book is a very good one. It is about our cultural history.

Cousin #3 cancelled on me today so I'm just catching up here. When I'm done I will have my dinner and maybe work in my puzzle books. I already reconciled the bank statement, etc.

@kareng It's always the same because she's so busy. It's hard to tie her down for an evening.

@xstitcher Right. And may as well go ahead and do it and not put it off! Because then you will have a longer list, spend more and be more tired.

No doubt that August is our hottest month of the year, especially in the south. But I've always wondered, if June 21 is the summer solstice, that means for every day after June 21 the days should slowly be getting shorter, and by correlation you would think the temperature would also slowly decrease from that point on. Yet, July and August are miserably hot, and August is absolutely the worst! I wonder why that is the case?

Another one to ponder!! And why does so many other states places have a decent Fall and we get merely a few days of Fall?

@kareng At least you get a few days of Fall. We basically get nothing here in Florida except more Summer.

Today, I’m just trying to stay out of the 100 degree heat. Thankfully, tomorrow is supposed to be around 87, which is really weird for August. That is always our hottest month.

Same here! We are chilling for about a week. Instead of the 96-100 temps we are in the low 90's. I'll take it!!

Right, it is much nicer with cooler temps. We have A/C, but the building is so big it is still hot in there.

Your day sounds busy and hope you get everything done before it rains. Nothing exciting going on here for the last day of July. I'm really hoping all this heat doesn't follow us into August. This summer has been so rainy and ungodly hot. We're expecting rain/storms by evening and it's supposed to cool things off for the weekend.

Goodbye Month of July, this month of July we are experience, the heavy typhoon named Cresing, Emong and Dante, so sad that this 3 super typhoons destroyed our beautiful nature, some roof are flying high and huge water flashed out of some small houses and not strong houses are go with the flood, more human beings are disappointed of this 3 super typhoons, until now our government are adjusting and helping to the needed community who are hit by this calamity. So much sadness by this July, and I welcome month of August to be cool in this season.
