My Memory

I must admit I worry about Alzheimers and memory loss. My paternal grandmother , I believe, had this and so it scares me. I am 73 and going to turn 74 in a little over 3 months. I have a terrible memory. But I am finding through my research on the subject that no one has a perfect memory. That actually writing things down does help. And, being organized helped too. I do both of these so that is a point in the right direction.. Word games and keeping the mind busy and active is important also. I keep working at it. How is your memory? Do you do things to help it?

@celticeagle Yes our bodies have changed that's right, but in mind we are young.

I read all the time and love playing different solitaire games. That keeps a brain active and the more active you keep your brain, the less likely you are to develop mental problems as you age.

I do word puzzles and watch trivia on the Game Show Network. I try to see how much I know and don't know. The 1% Club is good for that too. I have trouble remembering words for common items; and this concerns me.

I do too sometimes. Concerns me too. We have to keep working our grey matter or we will lose use of it.

@celticeagle I will try. But it's not easy when you can't remember to do what you say you are going to do
