Trump is firing the Commissioner of Labor Statistics after today's jobs report

Oh this is rich. The July report was much lower than expected but also the May and June jobs numbers were revised and DECIMATED from over 100K to fewer than 20K each month. Well Trump of course didn't like that so he just posted that he is going to fire the person in charge of those numbers. This is like his insane idea about reducing the number of COVID tests so there would be fewer cases. Um no. They still existed but they just weren't as widely reported. . . and he did that not to protect Americans but his political future in the 2020 presidential election. Saying something isn't true doesn't make it untrue. We all know this after he's called news, polls, trials, etc. "fake". Um no they are real. He just doesn't like them so he calls them fake and his stupid MAGA cult members eat it up. So now he will get some stupid lackey in that position who will fudge the numbers, tell him what he wants to hear, and lie to US citizens. AWESOME. This is what you voted for America! Enjoy!

This is what that is the potential downfall of America. They are denying the cheap materials and products from other countries. The tariff is pushing for the products to be more costly for the citizens and the companies.

@Ineeddentures There is a problem here. The tariff causes the raw materials price to go up too. It is not feasible to move certain industry from a low cost production place to a high cost one. They are not in America for a reason. For an example textile, it costs really cheap to product in countries like India sub-continent. A pair of jeans can just be $2.50 from these countries. When it comes to America, maybe it is at a price of $50 or $60 at the retail. The cost of production will go up more than double because of minimum wages. For some of the high valued industries like the semi-conductors, workers will have to wear the lab costumes for 13 hours straight for a shift. Americans may find it suffering. Labour, land, and cost of business is higher when compared to the developing countries.

@id_peace By increasing tariff to people exporting goods to America Americans will more likely to produce more goods in America and import less. I reckon that is actually a good idea

Wasn't she the one that inflated job reports in the months leading up to the election? A Biden appointee that has manipulated numbers in the past to bolster Biden Harris deserves the extra scrutiny imo.

That is what Trump posted. I honestly don't know if those numbers were revised after the election. I don't pay much attention to jobs numbers but it has been a big story on the news and Twitter today so I keep hearing about it.

@NJChicaa By 818,000. Non existent jobs. I know this happens but THIS person inflated numbers up for Biden Harris by a substantial amount. It's not surprising to think she is capable of manipulating numbers down for the other party. Just saying.

You are correct. A Biden/Harris holdover who fudged the numbers to help bolster Kamala's election chances. It appears it is very hard to weed out and keep track of all of the liberals still entrenched in Washington DC who are disloyal and openly working against this administration. One factor overlooked in the changes in employment figures and possible slowdown in available jobs is the Federal Government has eliminated many of the positions hired during the Biden Administration. Reducing the "glut" of Federal employees under the Biden Administration is actually a good thing as it can reduce the debt and put more income in taxpayers' pockets. As with many things Trump does, like those Tariffs causing a stock market crash and a recession (not), one has to adopt some patience and a wait and see attitude. After all, it's only been 7 months. Like his being blamed for the price of eggs let's see what happens. Something TDSers and the media have little appetite for in their attempts to criticize and embarrass the president at every turn. For now, we will just have to remember that vast numbers of future jobs will be created when the many companies who pledged to build plants and invest in America takes hold. And we can rejoice over the continued tax cuts citizens will enjoy with the passage of Trump's legislation. Oh yes, and the billions of dollars we are taking in from other countries who have not negotiated a trade deal with this administration. And the economy growing by 3% in the private sector along with annual wages increasing 4.4% Time moves in one direction, memory in another. When future jobs reports come out, the winds will change, and this one will be forgotten as the media tries to focus on a new Trump alleged controversy.

Transparency is key, unless you are going to be corrupt. Trump might want to curtail the media on this one. I am surprised he has not already to be honest. I would like to see how country responds if he does. I will think I will be disappointed by country, they disappointed me in every way so far. Why are we even here America? Our constitution is clear we do not allow dictators in office, I guess we do now.
