Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 60 degrees F and getting bright here at the Jersey Shore. That temperature apparently ties the low for August in this area. The high for today is 78. I'm not mad about it. It is nice to be able to have the windows open.
I woke up at about 5:20am this morning. I actually slept well last night which is a nice change. Just before I woke up I had an odd dream involving my ex. It was innocent (for a change 
) but kind of sad. Oh well. Maybe I'll see him this weekend. It has been awhile. I never know with him.
Today I want to try to make the Moroccan m'smen/melloui. I'm going through flour lately like it is March 2020 and we are all in COVID lockdown. I asked the Moroccan neighbor how you use it. He said it is typically had with mint tea. The book says the same thing but it also states that it can be used for other things including sandwiches. We shall see.
I heard from one of my pool buddies that she and her wife will be there today. I love hanging out with them! My guess is that her brother and his wife will be there too as they usually don't specifically plan to go there unless the brother is showing up. I'm sure I'll see the other usuals there. The water is probably going to be cold since it was cold overnight. I don't care. I'll still be in it!

Good morning... It is 63F in my part of Missouri this morning and our high is supposed to reach 80F by late this afternoon.
I have a new recipe I'm going to try this morning after I take my morning meds... It's fried bananas, recommended by a myLot friend. (I love bananas but haven't tried them fried before. We shall see what I think.)
Nothing is happening here, as far as I know. (My eyes are swelling shut so I probably won't go outside. I usually don't because I worry about falling.)

@NJChicaa I went in to fry one of the bananas we bought day before yesterday and fell down. I'm dizzy and Pretty had to help me back to bed. I'll try again later and let you know what I think.
I've always heard of fried plantain, too, but never tried that, either.

It was only 16°C/60°F when I got up a couple hours ago, but it's already 22°C/72°F at 10 am. Not sure what I'll be up to today.
