When Haiti became Independent trade restrictions were implemented o punish. To avoid, Haiti would bring indigo to Jamaica and we'd sell it as if it was grown locally. So countries in Europe bought Jamaican Indigo. Took a long time for Europe to figure out that we didn't grow indigo. Expect similar actions being taken by countries which have been slapped with high tariffs.

What is indigo? Where did it really come from?

indigo is a plant from which a dye is made. It was an export from Haiti..(then Saint Dominque) when the revolution happened no one would buy anything from Haiti so we sold it as if it was local. There are a lot of things we sold as our own... secretly. I suspect, for example, Brasil will be shipping coffee here.. (we grow coffee) and we will sell it for them as our own product.

We'll keep it quiet... America will never figure it out.

It's already happening, I have read yesterday that this is exactly what China is already doing.

@jaylar I was just reading that Spain has shelved plans to buy F-35 fighter jets, manufactured by U.S. They are going to buy European. Well done, I hope that all the others follow.

@LadyDuck It is long over due. Less trade with the US less US involvement in their business. Better to buy from those who don't 'weaponize' the products

And unless they are told, America won;t catch on. The thing about America is that as they believe in their superiority they'd never imagine we have brains and abilities
