When Haiti became Independent trade restrictions were implemented o punish.
To avoid, Haiti would bring indigo to Jamaica and we'd sell it as if it was grown locally. So countries in Europe bought Jamaican Indigo.
Took a long time for Europe to figure out that we didn't grow indigo.
Expect similar actions being taken by countries which have been slapped with high tariffs.

indigo is a plant from which a dye is made. It was an export from Haiti..(then Saint Dominque) when the revolution happened no one would buy anything from Haiti so we sold it as if it was local. There are a lot of things we sold as our own... secretly.
I suspect, for example, Brasil will be shipping coffee here.. (we grow coffee) and we will sell it for them as our own product.
