The dumplings that are getting ready on the gas also has corn flour in the dough I just added it this time I now have five different types of flour in that dough - wheat, semolina, poha, gram flour and corn flour Corn flour is versatile . I make use of it in many of my dishes - ice cream, cutlets, dumpling,s souffle, and now I am going to try corn flour pudding

@sallypup I thought corn flour solidifies faster than rice flour I was wrong then

@allknowing Polenta is cooked corn meal. You stir and stir until your arm about falls off. It is supposed to thicken into a corn pudding like thing. You then slice it and fry it. Very tasty. Now I just buy rolls of polenta ready to be fried.

I use corn flour, corn meal, semolina, gram flour, whole wheat flour and three different kind of white wheat flour: all-purpose, bread, and cake flour.

I do not know what corn meal is I use wheat flour for making my cake as I have stopped using white flour even for other items The cake turns out great

@allknowing Corn meal is a coarse corn flour that it is used to make polenta. I use corn flour for some cakes, but others need a stronger flour.

I do agree corn flour is versatile,i use corn flour cook many dishes.last Sunday,i added corn flour when frying a fish,that was perfect cooking.

@allknowing ,Sure,i knew that.I mean smear corn flour on the surface of fish,the peel of fish won't break when frying fish. We often use corn flour prevent food from breaking.
