The house across the road ( and down a house ) from Mom was sold a couple of months ago and the new people have not moved in yet. We have seen them a few times , coming and going, they must already either live close by or have family they are staying with close by , as whenever we see them they are walking.
Anyway, this morning they popped a card through the letterbox and when Mom opened it , she found it was a card introducing themselves.
What a nice touch, and when we do get a chance to speak to them we will already know their names. Makes things more friendly , don’t you think.

In total there are three sets of new neighbours that are moving into the area. Building work is being done in two of the houses, this particular one they have been able to move in without building work. I think at the moment they are just coming some days and maybe stay over night once in a while. There seems to be no rush to move in completely.

@Traceyjayne They sound like private people who aren't interested in meeting the neighbors...
That's the way the new neighbor beside us is. I think it's a young woman. One of the guys that was remodeling that house said she works at the convenience store on the other side of her house. We've only seen her late at night when she leaves a light on and we see her shadow crossing the room. I REALLY need to get thicker curtains up on that side of the house. If we can see her, then she can see us and I don't like that.

That sounds a very promising start that your new neighbours will be pleasant at least.
