Good day to you all,
Hope you all been doing well. Welcome to August, yeah, I’m a few days late but hope it’s been good for you so far.
So far, the month is not too bad as for the weather around here. The last two weeks of July were hot and humid, and it is actually cooler than it was. For me that is a good thing. August is normally the hotter month around here, so I am sure we are in for some hot days ahead.
I really wanted to go camping for the last few weekends, but it’s just been too hot for it to be enjoyable for me. I instead chose to stay home inside the air conditioning. I just stayed in and played video games with my son or watched some movies or old TV shows. (I’ll post about those soon.)
I just wanted to get on here and say hello, I’ll post soon.

August is usually hotter in my part of Missouri than in July, too, but one myLotter tried to tell me I was wrong... She lives in Europe so doesn't know what summers here are like... I don't want to offend her so just liked her comment and left the conversation.
My daughter and I are staying inside in the A/C, too. We're paying one of the neighbors to mow our yard now. I paid him for several mows and told him if it snows early that the extra money was a gift and if he mowed more times than that I would write him another check. (He mows about once every two weeks.)
I've been watching more movies and YT videos than normal and have read a lot more than normal.
Have a good one. We'll see you when you make it back again.

@Bensen32 Same findings here but it still FEELS hotter!
There's a reason we pay the neighbor to mow for us now... The yard would have gotten away from us by now if we hadn't ask him how much he'd charge to do our yard when he does his... ($25 a mow when most people are asking up to $75 a mow for yards the size of ours.)

So, I had to look it up and do a little research, but I found that Madison, Wi seems to average a higher temperature in July then August by 1 degree when averaged over the last 20 years. Thought they did say the increase in humidity in August makes it feel warmer.
I guess technically she is right but I'm more worried about how hot it feels to be honest.
Yeah, I am just enjoying the a/c when it's hot out. I will get back outside then the weather allows me to.
