What are your thoughts on the "noctourism" trend?

It's true that I enjoy exploring a certain location at night. I don't know why some people believe it's starting to become popular. Many people, in my opinion, have taken nighttime trips. However, it would be inconvenient if they were unable to navigate a new nation without the assistance of tour guides. Regarding the "noctourism" trend, what are your thoughts? Pretty and I have always done a lot of night-time traveling/sightseeing. We swim in the local lake at night and wear glow-bracelets so we can find each other in the dark. (Cars crossing the bridge will stop and watch us trying to figure out what they're seeing. That's always funny to us.) I'm sure a lot of people love sightseeing at night.

I do love road tripping at night. I do commuting to a very far place at night by bus. I can feel the excitement when I do this. I have not tried to do swimming in the lake or river at night, but I am not closing my door to this idea in the future.

This is the first time I have heard this term. But I suppose there are some things that are better seen at night than in the morning. I observed this during our recent visit to Singapore. I usually explore during the day and rest at night, but when I go out in the afternoon and night, I appreciate the city lights more and the vibe is different.

I agree. This is what my Chinese students claimed—that they never see stars in Shanghai. It is because of the city lights. I thought they were kidding, but they weren't.

@Shavkat That is true in most heavily urbanized cities, where city lights are far brighter than stars.

I think such tours could be really interesting but you'd need to feel safe.

That is one thing that we need to consider, too. If I am not that familiar with a particular place, I should be in a group while touring it.
