After having the huge fresh sea bass a few weeks ago the fishing friend of The Mister hasn’t been fishing since ….shame ….and we have been craving fish. Anyway I have to be careful as I am allergic to certain fish. Salmon , which used to be a favourite is one which I am now allergic to. Mom loves it though and decided to buy some today. We always buy it from the fresh fish counter not the prepacked. Today the single pieces were £3.50 each Then I spotted a huge piece for £8.46 ….i showed Mom and asked how many servings she could get out of that piece and she said, at least four. So we bought the big piece of salmon…..individual pieces would have cost £14 …this piece £8.46 ….a saving of £ 5.54 Yay for us ….. Do you ever bulk buy if it’s going to save money ? What was the last bargain you had ?

That was a big savings for you buying the bigger piece of salmon. I do buy in bulk to save money. It's hard to lay out the initial payment but it pays in the long run. The things I mostly buy in bulk are meat, chicken, coffee, toilet paper and laundry detergent. Of course I don't buy all that at the same time

Since covid when we had a major shortage of toilet paper I always bulk buy off Amazon. Mince beef, chicken, coffee are always bulk bought too. Our saving on the salmon was lucky ….there was only one big piece .

I do think that it is great. I will definitely bulk buy things that I will use and the expiry date is long. For an example tooth paste.

@Traceyjayne Sometimes bulk buy give me much cheaper. Not only that, if there are more than one person using it, we can do group buy on the same stuff to enjoy the cheaper rate yet we can fulfill our quantity on a lower amount for each of us.

We don't ever buy fish since I don't feel like going to the ER just so Pretty can eat it. I don't know... Pretty keeps track of things like that.
