A female bear who was in the company of four cubs entered a home located in Granby Connecticut on Saturday July 5.
The bear and her cubs decided to enter the home on Barndoor Hills Road by breaking though a screen door and help herself and her cubs to steal food from in the basement before leaving the house before the EnCon police arrived after the residents inside of the home at the time of the bear and her cubs stole some of their food had fled the home.
The silver lining in the dark cloud was that no one was hurt even though the residents lost some food due to bears breaking into their home and stealing some of their food.

@Traceyjayne I have never seen a bear in my lifetime. I would not want to mess with one though.

I know what you mean since bears are losing their homes in the name of progress.

These female bears are sure busy. Animals must really be feeling the pinch in their world.

@Deepizzaguy ........Yes, with all the fires and building going on the animals are being forced down to towns for food.

According to many wildlife officials, animals are being forced to invade houses since they need to eat.

I'm glad no one was injured. Bears are opportunists and will get food as easily as they can.

That mother bear is a bad example to her cubs, teaching them to steal, when it should be teaching them to forage for food, but if there is not much food around, what else can they do.
