Do you know what mRNA is?

Probably not. mRNA stands for messenger ribonucleic acid. It is, as the name implies, a messenger. Our DNA holds the information for how to make proteins. Problem is that DNA stays in the nucleus of cells and the protein-makers (ribosomes) are outside of that in the cytoplasm. That's where mRNA comes in. It copies the message in the nucleus and then carries it out to the ribosomes.
Uninformed and ignorant conspiracy theorists think that mRNA can somehow change DNA and it is dangerous. Now we have that moron RFK Jr. cancelling 22 mRNA research studies because um. . . he is stupid and not educated in science. Bro was an environmental lawyer.
Look at me talking about biology during summer break.
I just can't with these stupid news stories. If you don't know what messenger RNA is or does then just STFU. I double dog dare anyone to tell me what the 4 bases in RNA are without googling them. But sure you "do your research" and are experts on those vaccine studies.

I only came across mRNA when they started producing vaccines against covid. No idea what the 4 bases in RNA are without googling them. I trust in the science and took the covid vaccines when offered. It’s disappointing to hear that the research studies are being cancelled.
Vaccines have saved many lives and there are too many vaccine deniers promoting fake news and being listened to. Here, diseases like measles are on the increase due to lack of take up of the vaccine.

Yeah measles is back here too. Idiots. I know what mRNA is because I teach biology and talk about it every year. It is hilarious/pathetic that people who know nothing about science think they understand mRNA vaccines. They don't even know what the acronym stands for.
I also was vaccinated and boosted (3 shots) and have not gotten COVID yet. I find that crazy since I work in a building with literally thousands of people.

There are countless programs being cancelled; and it has me and the rest of the nation very concerned.

Thanks for the Bio lesson. Most of Trump's cabinet members with the exception of Rubi(o, OZ head of Medicare and Medicaid )and Doug whatever his name is are disasters as far as I can tell.
